Today I had the time to draw one of the most beautiful churches round Mödling: the parish church of Brunn am Gebirge, St. Kunigunde.

It is an interesting building in Gothic style, above all, because it has a steeple in the middle. Inside this heavy tower has to be supported by this pillars that have a smaller distance than the other pillars of the middle nave. Very interesting bottleneck-effect.

I drew two different sights: One of the southern facade with it’s projecting entrance, the other from the north, showing the whole church with it’s acute tower.

My drawings took me more than an hour, I used PITT artist pen black F and Caran d’ache colorpencils over a rough pencil sketch erased after the pen was applied. Size: 15 x 15 cm.
